Suratu l-Nahl

Ayah 2

Exerpt from Tafsiru l-Tabari:

Regarding God's (swt) saying

"with the Spirit [bi-l-ruhi] from His command [min amri-hi]"

Its He (swt) who doesnt send any angel except a spirit is along with it

His (swt) saying:

"the angels are sent [yunzilu l-mala'ikah] with the Spirit from His command [bi-l-ruhi min amri-hi]".
He said:

He (swt) doesnt send any angel except along with it is a spirit. 

"the angels are sent with the Spirit from His command [yunzilu l-mala'ilata bi-l-ruhi min amri-hi] to whoever He wills [3ala man yasha'u] out of his servants [min 3ibadi-hi]"

He said:

(...his servants) with prophethood.

B. Jurayj said:

and i heard that
- the Spirit was created from the angels,
- the Spirit was sent down by Him
- and

"they are asking you about the (Holy) Spirit [yas'aluna-ka 3ani l-ruh],

say the  (Holy)Spirit is from my Nurturing Lord's command [quli l-ruhu min amri rabbi-y]"
