I realised that the positions we hold during Salah are also positions used in Meditation practices (i.e. prostration, bowing, etc). This would also explain why we should not rush our prayers and straighten our back, etc, and are commanded to do it a minimum of 5 times daily (in this materialistic lifestyle), but recommended to do more. Is salah a way to improve our spiritual being in our bodies, similar to how meditation works?
Furthermore, sitting meditation reciting a mantra seems very remeniscient of sitting doing dhikr or reading Qur'an.
